Here in
North Katanga, construction/reconstruction of churches, parsonages,
schools, clinics, etc. is a high priority. Cement, however, is very
expensive. Our hydraform machines help us cut costs by pressing "tongue
and groove" bricks, thus eliminating the need to place a layer of
cement between every row.
In October 2000, Bishop Ntambo Nkulu Ntanda sent Mr. Lusange Kitenge
Moma and Mr. Guy Mande to South Africa for a training in Hydraform
block making. Afterwards, two Hydraform machines were purchased.
So far, Hydraform blocks have been used for the construction of:
- university chaplain parsonage
- parsonage in area "82"
- parsonage in Katuba
- chapel in police camp
- Kankundwe parsonage
- parsonage in area "53"
- Kamisamba Agriculture
