"You can
steal everything from me, but you can’t steal my education."

This saying sums-up the
importance of education for us Congolese. Our buildings and material
possessions have been stolen/destroyed many times by war and pillage,
but our treasure of education stays with us.
We give a big salute to the Hope for the Children of Africa program,
which helped us construct Kindu Bantu and Umpafu grade schools, ISP
(Teaching College), schools in Lwena and Kabongo, and repair our school
in Lubudi. Upafu, for example, now has than 1,700 students in addition
to its sewing classes for single mothers.
