The Community Health initiative is part of our vision of effective
preventive health care in North Katanga. It was with this vision that
Bishop Ntambo Nkulu sent two people, Rev. Ngoy Mwayuma and missionary
Liz Ryder, to Jamkhed, India for public health training in 2000.
After this training, a community health education program, focusing on
women and children, was launched here with seminars starting in Kamina,
Mwitobwe, Kaloba Kitapa, and Quartier Kamalondo.
Rev. Ngoy Mwayuma, who was recently appointed as our conference’s first
female District Superintendent, is in charge of the initiative.
