
Kabongo hospital, located in the Territory of Kabongo, Haut Lomami
District, was started by Methodists in the 1920s. The United Methodist
Church of North Katanga, with the help of the Swiss Methodist Church,
renovated and took over the leadership of the facility in 1985.
The hospital has 120 beds, all of which recently received new
mattresses and hospital linens. Sixty patients are treated each day on
average.
